Non-Invasive Testing

When at all possible, our doctors will utilize non-invasive diagnostic procedures to assess the strength and health of your heart. These diagnostic tests provide high-quality data, but do not require an operation or incision. They are much less stressful and require little or no recovery time. The highly trained staff of the Heart Center are certified and experienced in dealing with every condition. The following are performed in our Non-Invasive testing department with a correlating study; mapping or reflux. The starred ones * are done in Radiology.

  • Carotid doppler study
  • Internal jugular vein, subclavian vein and axillary vein for patency
  • Venous upper extremities- to rule out (DVT) Deep Venous Thrombosis *
  • Venous mapping upper extremities
  • Duplex radial and ulnar arteries for pre-operative CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft)
  • Venous lower extremities to rule out (DVT) Deep Venous Thrombosis *
  • Venous reflux lower extremities
  • Venous lower mapping
  • Duplex popliteal arteries to rule out aneurysm
  • AAI (Ankle Arm Index)
  • ADU (Arterial Doppler Ultrasound)-upper extremities
  • ADU (Arterial Doppler Ultrasound)-lower extremities
  • PPGU- (Photoplethysmography Upper)-fingers
  • PPGL- (Photoplethysmography Lower) -toes
  • TCPO2 -Transcutaneous oxygen monitoring
  • Graft surveillance-upper extremities
  • Graft surveillance-lower extremities
